Data, before it was everything.
In 2009, few people were talking about social data. Andreas Weigend, Amazon's former Chief Scientist, was already teaching it at Stanford and UC Berkeley. For six years, Shaun Tai produced the films that carried those lessons beyond the classroom, learning from a mentor who saw the future early.

The future, taught by those who made it.
Andreas knew technology from the inside. As Amazon’s chief scientist, he helped shape the recommendation engine that much of the internet would go on to follow, and he believed the best way to understand any innovation was to learn from the people building it. So his classes brought founders and leaders from LinkedIn, Reddit, Wired, and beyond face to face with students. Shaun filmed those sessions and carried the lesson forward: bring the builders into the room, and students rise to meet them. That model lives on at BRIDGEGOOD, and Andreas joined its advisory board when it was still Oakland Digital, bringing the mentorship full circle.
